Putting Tip - Judging The Distance To The Hole Pt.2
Now that you have a method to determine the distance from the ball to the hole, the next step is to develop benchmark putts. This is very simple but takes time to practice. Use a tape measure and lay out a distance of five feet. Practice and practice until you can consistently make this putt. Then do the same at say ten, fifteen, and twenty feet.
For each of the benchmark distances you will have a different length of back swing. Knowing this you should be able to make slight adjustments for distances that are between your benchmark putts. So when you determine the actual distance to the hole you should know how hard to stroke the putt.
This simple putting tip should help you to become more accurate and consistent in your golf putting.
