Putting Tip - Judging The Distance To The Hole

One of the major problems the average golfer has on the putting greens is to judge the correct distance to the hole. Without knowing the actual distance, they can only guess at how hard to strike the ball.

One of the easiest methods is to walk the distance from the ball to the hole, but first you have to determine your walking stride. A simple method to find this out is to place a tape measure on the floor and take four or five steps. Make sure you use your normal stride and then measure the distance you’ve covered. Just take the distance that you covered and divide it by the number of steps and you will have the distance per step taken. Then you can step off the distance form the ball to the hole on the greens.
